Treatments
I do not limit myself to one method. What suits your case is decided after the case history and the examination – not by what I happen to offer. Often several approaches complement each other within a single session.
Osteopathy
A whole-body examination, standing and lying down, looking for the place where movement is no longer free. Dysfunctions can be parietal (musculoskeletal), visceral (internal organs) or craniosacral.
Paediatric osteopathy
For babies from their first day of life and for children: unexplained crying, positional asymmetries, skull deformities, sleeping or feeding difficulties. Very gentle techniques, with the parents involved.
Chiropractic
Manual treatment of the joints – spine, pelvis, limbs. I usually begin with the muscles: bones belong to the passive part of the locomotor system and shift when muscular tension pulls them out of place. Work on the atlas vertebra is part of this.
Craniosacral therapy
A gentle method developed by Dr John Upledger. You stay dressed, lying on your back. I choose it above all when the system is very restless or under strong underlying tension.
SomatoEmotional Release
An extension of craniosacral therapy, also developed by Dr John Upledger. It does not regard tension of the body and tension of the mind as separate from one another.
Physiotherapy
After an operation, after a fracture, for joint pain or neurological conditions. Every clinical picture needs something different. You leave with targeted exercises for home. Also for athletes, amateur and professional.
Sports physiotherapy
Looking after athletes, from the recreational to the professional – acute injuries, the time after an operation and overuse complaints.
Bobath therapy
For neurological conditions: after a stroke, with multiple sclerosis, with nerve damage. Often long-term support, once or twice a week.
Health advice
In conversation we look at your complaints and work out ways forward – movement, posture in everyday life, diet and guidance on what you can do yourself.
How a first appointment works
A detailed case history first: when, where, how, since when – and also your occupation, your sport, your habits. Then the examination. Only afterwards do we talk about treatment.
A session lasts 45 to 90 minutes, usually an hour, and costs between 80 and 120 euros.
Making an appointment
Telephone: +49 160 50 55 374, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. I speak English well, so we will understand each other without difficulty.
The conditions mentioned here are examples of application. They are in no way a promise of cure, and treatment is not advisable in every case.
